Songs for Seigaku
Before we begin: Thank you, anonymous tree gifter! That was a lovely way to start my day.

All songs in a zip file. Also, my taste in music sucks. Cope.

Tezuka: Into the Fire - Thirteen Senses.
Come on, come on, put your hands into the fire.

Tezuka == martyr.

Fuji: Suspicious Character - The Blood Arm
I like all the girls and all the girls like me.

I've never quite figured Fuji out, but something about that line sounds like him.

Oishi: The Mary Ellen Carter - cover by The Irish Descendants
Turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain and like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.

Oishi, like the song, is always hopeful. He's the strong one, the one that carries them all along. And he makes me smile and smile. ♥

Eiji: Mmm Bop - Hanson.

Don't make me justify this.

Kawamura: Worker's Song - Dropkick Murphys
We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky
And we're always the last when the cream is shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

Taka-san, you're the Red Shirt of Seigaku and you deserve so much better.

Inui: I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing - Pet Shop Boys
I feel like taking all my clothes off, dancing to the Rite of Spring.

This is how I imagine Inui-in-love must feel, so overwhelmed and crazy and out of character. And there are few things I like better than Inui in love.

Kaidoh: The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) - Simon & Garfunkel
Kicking down the cobble stones, looking for fun and feelin' groovy.

I always picture this song playing while Kaidoh runs and works out and him completely ignoring it. Secretly, though, I bet he feels groovy a lot.

Momoshiro: Heterosexual Man - The Odds
I wanna make every woman I see. Do you know what's the matter with me? I'm a heterosexual man.

This is how Momo sees himself. The sweetie.

Ryoma: Fame - Irene Cara
I'm gonna live forever. Baby, remember my name.

I kept trying to pick something else, but this is the one.

Horio: All Star - Smashmouth
Hey now you're an All Star get your game on, go play. Hey now you're a Rock Star get the show on get paid.

He'll get it working one day.

My god, we're getting near the end. I don't want it to be over. I've forced this song on just about everyone who's posted about finishing the anime. And here it is again:
The Spirit of This Place - Core of Soul. (lyrics & translation)

We're graduating!
Even if we seem to get swept away by the unknown wind that lies before us,
We won't give in
So, look at yourself
Right now we are the ones that shine the most
With the spirit of this place
With the spirit of this place

Now I'm all maudlin.

My goodness, the lyrics you posted for the last one are making me tear up, and I don't even think I can blame anything hormonal right now. :( I don't want it to be over, either.

...If I'm not careful I'm going to actually start crying. Darn stupid boys, I love you all so much :(

I'll be downloading all the songs, except the one for Eiji, because, um. Well. Yes. Really, Hanson for Eiji? :P

When I started watching Prince of Tennis in early 2004, even though the anime was ongoing at that point, I still would listen to that song and tear up and feel sad that it would have to be over someday. I'm still not ready. :(

What's your Eiji song?

You're making me all weepy and happy and sappy. Darn you. :)))) I'm gonna cry all over you.

Why does Prince of Tennis make us feel this way? *holds you*

I love you for forcing 'The Spirit of This Place' on me. ♥

And for uploading all these new songs! Yay!! Thanks muchly.

I'm just obsessed with that song. And making people cry. :D

Horio's song is SO All Star, and Fame suits Ryoma down to the ground. :D

One of my favourite songs for Fuji in his more serious moments is 36 Degrees by Placebo:

We were tight, but it falls apart as silver turns to blue.
Waxing with a candlelight, and burning just for you.
Allocate your sentiment, and stick it in a box.
I've never been an extrovert, but i'm still breathing.

Someone tried to do me ache (it's what I'm afraid of)

With hindsight, I was more than blind, lost without a clue.
Thought I was getting carat gold, and what I got was you.
Stuck inside the circumstances, lonely at the top.
I've always been an introvert
happily bleeding.

Not that I'm an angsty songfic kinda person, but yeah. :D

I am in love with this post. Oh, Seigaku. *pets your lovely maudlin self* ♥

Mmm Bop is perfect for Eiji. *snickering into her sleeve* Brava.

Of course, now I have to admit that I even had it in iTunes and that I listen to it a lot.

ah, dammit, that song always makes me cry. it's the "different colored wings were growing on our backs" that gets me. :( I don't want it to be over either, but i REALLY want to see Yukimura play. I CAN'T WAIT.

The remixes are posted and the spring_fluff pinch is in! WOOHOO.

I know what you mean -- too many conflicting emotions!

You are clearly better than me. I'm still toiling away at my pinch.

Aaaahaha this is so great! I love your reasoning. XDDDD But. Eiji. Mmm Bob....

Uh huh.

From now on, Eiji will be a Hanson fan in my head. THANKS. ;))

Hee! I said I wasn't going to justify it. :D

I dled some Marks, thanks! Although if I admitted what, my twelve year old self would come back from the dead and kick me hard ;)

I dled some Marks, thanks!

Now you're just messing with me!

Hahhahahahha.... Inui and Kawamura are very fitting. And I don't even want to know why you have Hanson lying around.

I always think of doing one of these, except my version is very scattered and only makes sense in my wee dysfunctional brain.

You should totally do one. I love to see how people think about the characters.

Plus you listen to cooler music than I do.

I downloaded them all; I need some more new music. And MmmBOP! I freakin' loved that song in...high school? Hell, I can't remember when it came out but I loved it when it did.

*downloads all* Even though I already have MMMBop. On CD. And I'm not afraid to admit it. :D Who needs justification, anyway?

Ooh, thank you! And yes yes yes to martyr!Tezuka.

I can't for the life of me remember the artist's name for this one D: But "The Spirit of This Place" reminded me:
