Three fic deadlines at the end of January is one too many, as it turns out. I will meet them all, but I am pretty much spending the whole month doing one of these things:

- writing
- feeling guilty because I should be writing
- freaking out because the pacing in my story is just not working and I have to figure out a new sub-plot and re-write a bunch of scenes
- working
- watching South Park

The fic I've posted so far this month is stuff I finished up in December and was sitting on. Writing a lot is actually quite good for me. I feel a lot more engaged with life when I'm being productive and I'm sure it's helped with my mood during December and January, aka the Dark Rainy season.

I feel like I'm being pretty absent from LJ, though; February should be better!

Now I just have to figure out how to add watch lots of the Australian Open without getting hopelessly behind on writing to the list and I'll be a happy camper. :)

This sums up my state of mind for pretty much all of January so far. I have rewritten so freaking much.

What doesn't kill us will make us stronger, I'm sure.

Let's hope it also makes our fic stronger!

At least writing about Inui and Kaidoh inspires me not to give up! Because they never do!

What fic deadlines do you have? I know one!

I'm also writing for hp_kinkfest, which I haven't started yet. And I always post something self-indulgent for my birthday. That one is basically done, thank goodness!

Oh Harry Potter. I remember that fandom. :D

Your birthday fics to yourself cheer me up every year!

::Takes off the headphones and plugs the speakers to Queen's Under Pressure::

Good luck with the fic deadlines!

Oh, do I understand. I never pay attention whether it's rainy, cold or crappy outside anymore.

::Puts on headphones, returns to the cave::

I guess the upside to all the deadlines is that January is speeding by!

the Australian Open is killing me. I keep thinking, oh, I'll just check in to see how my favorites are doing... five hours later, I'm wondering why I haven't gotten any work done. XD

I haven't been able to watch much due to most of it taking place after I'm already in bed. But I'm going to make more of an effort this week.

Luckily, I don't really have any deadlines for my fics. I just know I want to finish the one I started yesterday which is apparently going to be longer than I expected. But I get distracted quite easily as well.

Actually, I'll end up sitting down to write, and then something will come up that involves me having to leave the house and then when I get home, I just don't care.

I'm sure you'll get everything done in time though. Just keep pushing on through it!

In general, I like to have deadlines since I'm prone to goofing off otherwise. Good luck with your writing!

I hear you. And then when I'm approaching the finish line another tempting fest gets waved in front of my face. D:

I wish I could watch the Australian Open.

I know! Now I'm all intrigued by otpimpchallenge. Only I have a hard time telling if my pairings are cracked out enough.

It's been going pretty well. :)

I just started working life and it terrifies me how much of my personal time it is taking up. I have no time to think of fic ideas, even. How you do it is beyond me.

It takes a while to figure out how to balance it, but that's what coffee breaks are for. :)
