You can call me Hal.

Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova, Commander, daughter of Andrei and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance, and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth, sweetheart. I am death incarnate, and the last living thing that you are ever going to see. God sent me.

God, I've been bawling half the night, watching these eps. I miss her too.

You know, I'm only about halfway through season two for the very first time, but your enthusiasm for season four is catching! I can't wait! :-)

I hope I'm not spoiling the hell out of you! Are you watching on DVD? I think this is a great show for DVD -- you can dig in and watch ep after ep and stay a lot closer to the arc. My own initial TV watching got interrupted and I think this is actually the first time I've been able to see everything in order. It's so worth it.

Ivanova. Coolest Commander ever.

Dude. Tell me about it. TELL me about it.

Now I want MY "trust Ivanova" icon back.

There can always be new beginnings. Even for people like us. -- Ivanova, "Sleeping in Light"

I've been in love with her for so long.

I have never, ever watched an episode of B5.

It's possible I didn't receive the B5 gene when I was endowed with fannishness at birth.

Londo won't hear a word of it!

DUDE. Dude. Try harder. *g*

I swear, start with season three (because you can always go back and why not just jump in when the getting's good?) and watch, like, three episodes in a row. If you're not hooked I'll give you your money back.

Found you through a friend. :)

Just wanted to say I miss the old gal too. There's just something about those "don't mess with me" Russians.

Dear god, is Ivanova hot, especially when she's threatening people.

Very much my pleasure. :)

Maybe tonight I make myself an Ivanova icon.

Everyone should have an Ivanova icon. :)

No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow.

No argument here. :)

Is it wrong that my primary association with the luscious and fear-inducing Ivanova will always be her little "how to have sex the human way" mating dance?

Well, perhaps not *wrong* so much as *unfortunate*. *g*

Wow, this brought me back. Put me on the "missing her" list. I still feel the Season 5 pain.

Things were flat without her.

Where'd you find the icon?

I don't remember where I grabbed the original image from -- some "about Ivanova" fan page. But I made the icon myself.

I miss Ivanova, yes.

I'd have to agree that so far B5 was the best-written sf series on tv, and I think you could compare it with so-called mainstream": West Wing comes to mind.

However, I miss Sinclair as well. I bought season 1. I will buy season 2, and probably 3, but--

It's JMS' series. He could absolutely do anything with that he wanted. I simply wasn't happy with some of the choices he made in season 4, and I can't say that I watched more than one or two episodes of season 5, including the finale.

But, yes, I miss very much waiting eagerly for the next show, to see what he'd done this time.

I would have liked to see more of Sinclair too. Sheridan grew on me, but in our house, we call him Uncle John because I have never seen anyone more avuncular.

I'll still buy S5, because I'm a completist, but it's unfortunate that JMS had to rush to tie things up in S4 -- I wonder what the whole thing would have been like if he'd been able to just as he liked.

I just watched this yesterday, too. *sob* Ivanova! I miss you so!

*clutches you and weeps* This time through S4 has been so emotional for me! I think DVD really intensifies that -- no commercials to give you a break and lots of eps in a row.
